Does The Mind Med Clinic provide face to face consultations?

No, we do not provide face to face consultations at the moment (which will likely change in the future). We are an online clinic. We only provide telehealth services.

Is there an out-of-pocket expense for consultations?

Yes. We are a private clinic. There is a gap charge to most of our services. We will advise you the out-of-pocket expenses prior to booking a consultation.

Does The Mind Med Clinic provide prescriptions?

Yes. We will provide prescriptions to your preferred pharmacy within 48 hours of the consultation, should our clinicians were of the opinion that you require medications. However, we do not provide prescription for medications that our clinicians had not agreed to prescribe you at the end of the consultation process. We also do not provide prescriptions for benzodiazepines (e.g. diazepam, alprazolam, midazolam) Stimulant medications ( e.g. Ritalin, Dexamphetamines etc.) or cannabis oil, unless this was suggested to treat your condition by our clinicians. In a summary, which ever medications that our clinician’s decided were appropriate for your condition we will provide you with prescriptions.

Please also note that our clinicians are unable to provide you prescriptions unless you have consulted them within a six months time-frame.

Does The Mind Med Clinic provide psychotherapy services?

No. We do not have a psychotherapist working in our team as at this point. However, we can suggest and make referrals on your behalf to a network of psychology services around your location.

Does the Mind Med Clinic provide inpatient services?

No. We are only providing telehealth consultations for clients with mental health conditions in the community. However, should you require an admission to hospital our specialists will do the best they could in order to help you find a suitable admission unit in a timely fashion.

What happens if the video call disconnected before the consultation ends?

In case of unintended disconnection, we will attempt to call you again. If we are repeatedly unable to initiate the call, we will try calling you on an alternate number. If we were unable to conduct the assessment due to technical difficulties, we will suggest rescheduling on a different date and time. We also suggest you consider a more stable internet connection such as at your GP centre should this be a possibility.

What happens if I am unable to attend a scheduled appointment?

We highly suggest you inform us as soon as you become aware that you are unable to attend. We will try our best to offer a rescheduling that works for you are our specialists. Should you have a change of mind and inform us 72 hours prior to the scheduled appointment we will not charge you any fee. If you do not show up for a scheduled appointment without prior notice, or decide to cancel an appointment on the day of the appointment, and are unable to produce evidence of a reasonable reason (e.g. illness/ hospital admission/ legal duties) we may decide to charge you a small administrative fee.
